Kentwood Jaycees

June 13, 2005

First off, let me say “thank you” for taking the time to fill out one of the Kentwood Jaycees community surveys in the past.  Community surveys are collected so that our chapter has a better understanding of the needs and wants for programs in our community.

The purpose of this letter is to let you know that our chapter is currently doing a membership drive.  We are hoping you will take a few minutes to read this letter and learn what our organization is about and possibly decide to become a part of this great group of individuals!

Each and every member in our organization counts.  We value each others input and we encourage people to bring in friends and new members to help ensure our chapter is diverse.  The Kentwood Jaycees have been a strong force in our community for many years.  The Jaycees are a leadership development through community service organization.  We run Holiday Shopping projects for local needy kids and families, a Special Olympics Golf Outing fundraiser, networking socials, educational seminars and much more.  There is something in this organization for everyone.

The cost for membership for the Kentwood Jaycees is only $65 for the first year and $60/year after that.  This breaks down to only $5.42/month!  Think of all the positive things you can get out of the Jaycees for only $5.42/month!  We have a General Membership Meeting the second Thursday of every month at 1640 44th Street at 7:00 pm, with a social and dinner at 6:30 pm.  At these meetings we discuss upcoming projects and new ideas.  We also have a newsletter that goes out to our members once a month.  Joining the Kentwood Jaycees will open many doors for you to improve yourself.  Please, consider what the Jaycees could do for you.

In the next few days, one of our members may be calling you to discuss how you can get involved.  Please, take a few moments and really think about giving back to this community!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Dukarski
