2005
Individual Vice-President - Donald Belyew
Dear Friends:
Congratulations
on your decision to serve in the Individual Development Area.
Being an ID Vice President is both fun and challenging. You have a wide-open slate of resources to create new and
exciting projects. Also, the ID
Area of the Jaycees is what sets us apart from all other Organizations.
We have the ability to create tomorrow’s leaders and have fun doing it
this year by Delivering Bright Ideas.
This year we
hope to provide you with resources so that you can run more projects, which will
increase activation and retention, as well as to build leaders in the
organization. We will be increasing
our family & friends programming offered by the Michigan Jaycees, so that we
may be able to repay our loved ones for allowing us to be away at Jaycee events.
We will also put more focus on offering Career Advancement projects and
trainings so that our members can advance their professional lives.
We are
changing the way that we run competitions so that we can provide better service
to our members. We hope to return
results to the members faster so that leadership growth may begin that same
weekend as competitions. This will
also give the competitors an opportunity for questions while their efforts are
still fresh. This is a great way to
build self-confidence and leadership skills, as well as many of the ID programs
you may be familiar with.
In the ID
section of the “The Book” you will find many useful resources, however there
are still many more resources available. Thanks
to some of our past MIJC IDVP’s there is already a very comprehensive and
informative ID section of the book, with some of my added information I hope you
find these documents beneficial to your year as a Local VP.
As always for more information see the MIJC website at www.mijaycees.org
for additional help and many more ID related items.
The ID team
this year is made up of a very diverse group of individuals all of whom bring
something very special to the table. They
have a wide variety of Jaycee experience and skills.
Our job is to help you through out the year.
Whether it’s to provide you with one-on-one training, resources, or
just someone to bounce off ideas, my team and I are here for you.
Again,
Congratulations on your new role with in the Jaycees and welcome to the 2005 ID
team. Never hesitate to call with any questions or concerns.
The PM Team and I will be in regular communication with you.
Together, let’s spend the year Delivering
Bright Ideas.
Yours in
Jaycees,
Donald James
